Operating in the safest manner possible is in the interests of our workers, our customers and the communities across Ontario which host OPG generating facilities.
OPG strives to achieve safety excellence and has become a global leader for our safety practices.
We are also a leader when it comes to environmental management. Since our inception we have been committed to the principles of sustainable development and are fully dedicated to minimizing our environmental foot print.
OPG, together with our many conservation partners, has planted nearly 5 million native trees and shrubs matched to site conditions, on approximately 2,400 hectares of ecologically strategic land in Ontario. As well, management plans have been developed for each site with explicit objectives linked to regional biodiversity conservation priorities.
